Nike’s Zoom Freak 1 is finally ready to arrive. Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo’s signature black and white shoe, newly crowned National Basketball Association MVP, will be available for purchase on July 10.
However, an early release of Zoom Freak 1 “All Bros,” a blue and orange version, is dropping in select stores Saturday morning — including at least one in Milwaukee.
MODA3, a streetwear and apparel store located at 320 E. Buffalo St. in Milwaukee, will sell shoes upon early release. According to Zach Kuester, store manager at MODA3, the “All Bros” will be available when the store opens at 10 a.m. Saturday, but he doesn’t expect the limited supply to last long.
“I’m sure there will be kids lining up starting at 8 a.m.,” Kuester said. “If people don’t line up, the chances of getting them here are slim to none.”
MODA3 will also sell items from Antetokounmpo’s clothing line with Nike, including t-shirts and sweatshirts.
The shoe is priced at $120, and kids’ sizes will sell for $100. Among the signature elements: “I am my father’s legacy” engraved on the bottom of the shoe and a smooth Giannis Antetokounmpo “GA” logo on the tongue of the shoe with a touch of green.
Nike Basketball tweeted that the shoes will be on sale at https://www.nike.com/t/zoom-freak-1-basketball-shoe-kVMKpr starting July 1 and the black and white Nike Zoom Freak 1 shoes will arrive in the United States on July 10.
